Eye Exam

Pediatric Eye exam

At Gwinnett Pediatric & Adult Eye Center we understand that Healthy vision is one of the most important components of your child’s wellness. Vision develops rapidly starting at birth and is tied to many developmental milestones, such as hand-eye coordination and reading. In the long term, your child’s vision will impact how they learn, play, and interact with the world. Not all visual disorders can be detected with a standard exam. We are proud to provide a comprehensive pediatric examination that will access ocular health and any related systemic health conditions

Contact lenses

Are contact lenses right for you? We have contact lens options for every patient. At the Contact Lens Institute of Gwinnett, we provide customized and standard contact lenses. With the latest technology, important information can be gathered about your eye that allows your eye care provider to determine the best lens for optimal vision. Contact lenses can be helpful in patients with eye diseases such as Keratoconus, Corneal Transplant, Anterior Basement Membrane Dystrophy, Dry Eye, Sjogren’s Syndrome, and much more.

Myopia control

Although an outright cure for nearsightedness has not been discovered, at Gwinnett Pediatrics & Adult Eye Center, we have a number of treatments that may be able to slow the progression of myopia. These treatments can induce changes in the structure and focusing of the eye to reduce stress and fatigue associated with the development and progression of nearsightedness. Slowing the progression of myopia may keep your child from developing high levels of nearsightedness that require thick, corrective eyeglasses and have been associated with serious eye problems later in life, such as early cataracts or even a detached retina.

Comprehensive eye exam

Your eyes are one of the most complex organs in your body. Our comprehensive eye exam will assess your visual system and eye health and it will involve a number of different of tests. Unlike a simple vision screening, which only assesses your vision, a comprehensive eye exam will include a battery of tests in order to provide you with a complete evaluation of the health of your eyes and your vision.

Emergency Eye Exam
